Field Day 2017

Field Day 2017

Yellow Head Amateur Radio Asscocation

Another field day success, with good weather the antenna raising went smoothly. A thank you goes out to Colin VE6TGC for suppling his field, his generator and his trailer for us to use in Edson.¬† A group of hams came in from Whitecourt to participate. The bands started out poorly but picked up as time went on we didn’t break any records for the amount of contacts, but had fun and we also got some practice for emergency communicating.

We operated under the call sign on VE6YAC and operated two radios. Antennas we used this year were a V beam and a 160 meter loop. We were using two generators for power.
